For 69 years (1951-2019), over 2000 students have graduated in Landscape Architecture at the University of Forestry in Sofia.

More than 50 of them have a PhD degree.

11 are currently PhD students, and 4 of them are foreign students.

The mechanism of graduation of students in Landscape architecture at the University of Forestry in Sofia is as follows:

1. According to the Training plan for the specialty “Landscape Architecture” at the University of Forestry in Sofia, LA students have to pass a "State clause" which is equivalent to "Master's degree State Design exam", and is typical of all architectural universities in Europe. It takes place within 8 astronomical hours, during which time students develop a sketch for a composite solution in a small park, accompanied by a detail for the park's architectural element. The drawing is anonymous and is evaluated by a committee. The grade is entered in the diploma along with the grades in the other subjects. 12.5 credits are given after successfully completing the State Clause.
2. Finally, тhe 5 years (10 semesters) training term and the full-time education course ends with development and defense of diploma project, which contains graphic and textual material, as illustrated below.
