The study course Interior Design of Unique Buildings deepens students’ knowledge of residential interior, which is done by means of practical assignments. The study course aims at acquainting students with work on unique interiors of residential interiors, built with luxurious materials and ambitious architecture, such as official residences, luxurious ministerial or corporative interiors etc. The study course is developed to be implemented at the Master level of Engineering Design (Interior and Furniture Design) Program at the University of Forestry in Sofia. During the term, students develop the design project of a unique residence space with an individual brief.

The course aims at the practical work on functional and aesthetic problems of such interiors. To this end, students do their own research on examples of similar interiors and, assisted by teaching staff, design all interior decorative/functional elements and furniture. Prestigious materials are used to greater decorative effect. The project graphics is more ambitious, to prepare students for such professional tasks as competition entries, exhibitions etc.
