The course “Creation of new forests” aims at providing knowledge of the specifics of seeds collection and seeds production activities, production of seedlings, afforestation works, tending and inventory of young forest plantations. Future professionals will acquire the necessary knowledge for prognosis, planning, organization, management and control of this group of activities, including the procurement procedures for them.
The course includes theoretical foundations and organizational aspects of the afforestation technologies. An introduction to the relevant references books and legislation, including Bulgarian and international standards related to planning, organization and control of the afforestation works is envisaged. 
The course teaches students to elaborate afforestation projects funded by the European programs.
