Aims and Objectives: The course aims to familiarize B.Sc. students in Forestry with the forest transport fundamentals, processes and management. The objectives of the course are to form a basic knowledge of the selection and use of proper vehicles in various forest terrain conditions.

Subject: General aspects of forestry transport. Theory of ground vehicles and cable yarding. Timber extraction with tractors and cable yarders. Timber transport with trucks. Transport operations of timber harvesting areas. Key evaluating indicators of forest transport.
