The course gives knowledge students from specialty “Forestry” about applying of forest machinery for mechanization of technological processes in forestry. Machinery for forest seeds and seedlings producing, establishment and cultivation of forest cultures for different purposes, forest protection from diseases and pests and other forestry work is considered. It gives theoretical basis, overall structure, and technological and techno-economic performance of forestry machines. The basics of the machinery exploitation, contemporary and promising technologies and system equipment for mechanization of the production process are learning.

In practical classes students learn concrete constructions machines, learn the principles of regulation and maintenance of machinery, machine design system for specific processes and objects. At the end of the course students compile the composition of machine-tractor aggregates and design technologies for forestry activities.
