The course gives knowledge on students from specialty “Forestry” with the basic actions, associated with ensuring healthy and safe working conditions in forests and protection of forests against wildfires. It consists of three sections:

1. Guard and control: Functions and tasks of administrative bodies for guarding and control in forests; Organization and management of forest protection system; Prevention actions and control on activities in forests.
2. Forest fires: Forest combustible materials and combustion conditions in forests; Types, shapes and intensity of forest fires; Classes of fire danger and fire risk; Factors determining the behavior of the fire; Methods and means for detecting forest fires; Wildfire forest management; Actions to protect forests from fires; Methods and means for extinguishing a forest fires and fire tactics; Wildfire statistics.
3. Labour protection, health and safety working conditions in forests: Basic of employment law; Basics of forest ergonomics; Occupational safety; Healthy and safety working conditions in forests.
