Aim of the course: The class"Technology Management and Use of Forests” aims to acquaint students from Faculty of Buissines Managment with the types and methods of obtaining wood products, with the greatest attention to the use of timber , which has the greatest economic importance.

Content: The main ways of wood processing and modern mechanized tools and equipment for felling and primary processing the trees are considered. The operational technologies for felling, transportation and loading of timber are clarified, as well as the basic machines’ technological schemes and systems for the implementation of shelterwood and selective logging.The criteria for comparison and evaluation of logging technologies and their ecological impact are considered. The requirements that the tree logs must meet according to our and international standards, as well as the sequence of wood use are clarified. The course also addresses the issues of side uses of forests that are with economic importance.
