The activity of the department "International collaboration and Public Relations" is aimed at establishing, maintaining and developing long-term contacts with leading foreign educational, research and cultural institutions as well as civil, professional and non-governmental organizations, associations, foundations and agencies associated with the activities of the University of Forestry (UF) in Sofia.

The main directions of the international activity of the university includes the following major activities:

  • Supporting the academic staff of the university in establishing international collaboration in education and research to enhance the quality of education, stimulating research and innovations;
  • Promoting teaching and student mobility within the European and global educational and research area;
  • Promotion of opportunities for partnerships in various national and international programs, projects and initiatives to the academic community of the university;
  • Collaboration with all departments of the university related to the training and postgraduate qualifications of foreign citizens;
  • Administering business trips and studying abroad teachers, staff and students at the university;
  • Drafting contracts and agreements on international collaboration and partnerships;
  • Promoting and strengthening the positive and objective media image of the university.

The University of Forestry has signed bilateral framework collaboration agreements with a number of established foreign universities, high schools, research and cultural institutions. The subject of the contract relates mainly to conduct joint research, exchange of specialized scientific literature, developing scientific and educational projects, mobility of teachers, students and graduate students, joint publications in specialized prestigious international and national journals; organization and participation in conferences, seminars and more.
