Representatives of the University of Forestry – Sofia participated in the “Academic Cooperation” Round Table, held within the framework of the initiative Strategic Balkan Outward & Regional Cooperation: Bilateral Cooperation Greece – Bulgaria, dedicated to strengthening regional collaboration and partnerships between universities of the two countries.

The University of Forestry was represented by Assoc. Prof. Kalin Hristov, PhD, Vice-Rector for Educational Policy, Quality Assurance, Students and PhD Candidates, and Chief Assist. Prof. Iliana Ruzhanova-Gospodinova, PhD, Head of the International Cooperation and Mobility Centre.

During the meeting, the University of Forestry was presented as a leading specialised higher education institution in the field of natural resources management. Opportunities for expanding academic exchange, joint educational initiatives and research collaboration with Greek universities were discussed.

As a concrete outcome of the discussions, a memorandum of cooperation was signed, laying the foundation for future joint activities, student and staff mobility, and the development of international projects.

The meeting was held in a constructive and productive spirit, with a clear focus on strengthening international partnerships and enhancing the visibility of the university within the European higher education area.
