Services provided by the laboratory:

The main tasks of the laboratory are to support the students' educational process at the university and to allow conducting various scientific studies in the field of cutting tools and cutting processes, roughness of machined surfaces, vibration and noise levels caused by the work of different cutting tools.

Equipment available in the laboratory:

The laboratory is equipped with cutting tools, microscopes, universal and specialized sharpening machines, profilers for measuring the roughness of machined surfaces produced by Mitutoyo, (Japan), vibro-diagnostic equipment produced by SCHENK (Germany) and Bruel&Kjaer Vibro (Denmark), a precise digital sound level meter produced by CASELLA (UK) as well as other specialized devices.
