The University of Forestry is the lead partner and Coordinator of the project “B-LAND: Promote and Strengthen Business Development Skills in Rural Communities”, No. 2020-1-BG01-KA202-079089. The project is financed by the European Commission under the Erasmus+ Programme, Key Action 2 “Cooperation for innovation and the exchange of good practices”, Action “Strategic Partnerships for vocational education and training”.

The project is implemented by a partner network including seven organisations from four European countries: Bulgaria, Spain, Greece and Poland, and is aimed at enhancing the professional competences of teachers/trainers within the system of vocational education and training, and development of innovative e-learning materials in the field of Agriculture, Forestry and development of entrepreneurial skills of people in rural areas.

The University of Forestry is a partner of the project “INTRuST: INnovative TRaining Solutions for certified wood in furniture, timber, building and foreSTry sectors”, No. 2021-1-DE02-KA220-VET-000034723. The project is financed by the European Commission under the Erasmus+ Programme, KA220-VET “Cooperation partnerships in vocational education and training”.

The project is implemented by a partner network including five organisations from the following European countries: Germany, Bulgaria, Slovenia, Belgium, and Spain, and is aimed at enhancing the professional competences of experts from furniture-related companies, forest operators, companies’ employees and managers dealing with wood certifications and/or buildings certifications interested in increasing their skills and competences, VET providers, training organisations and educators providing training programmes related to wood and forest certifications.

The University of Forestry is a partner in the project “Proposal for a new professional qualification that includes all the competences of the European Chainsaw Certificate – Quality Forest”, № 2017-1-ES-01-KA202-038677. The project is financed by the European Commission under the Erasmus + Programme, Key Action KA2 “Cooperation for innovation and the exchange of good practices”, Action “Strategic Partnerships”.

The project is implemented by a partner network of seven European countries: Spain, Slovenia, Poland, Bulgaria, Portugal, France and Belgium and is aimed at developing new common professional qualification in the field of Forestry in the European Union member states. Leading partner and coordinator of the project is Centre Tecnològic Forestal de Catalunya (CTFC), Solsona, Spain.

Measure: Strategic partnership for development of innovation in school education

Aims and objectives: Provision of training to teachers in order to: Introduce affordable ecology training in the existing curriculums (e.g. could be added to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) courses, or provide it as extra-curricular activity); Engage the youth of today to protect the climate of tomorrow; Ensure young people have the power to be the change for sustainability that our world needs by engaging them in fun, action-oriented and socially responsible learning.

Activities: Development, verification and implementation of tools for schools, guide and training material, web portal and smart app. Dissemination of results. Multiplier Exploitation Event "Mainstreaming conference "Eco-schools 2020". Conducting regular online meetings and 5 transnational partners meeting. Organisation of thematic workshops. Meetings with local authorities.

Outcomes: IO1: Affordable ecology benchmarking methodology and tools for schools; IO2: ABC guide and training material; IO3: “Affordable ecology” portal with interactive teaching tools, as well as tool to generate an own project idea, including a video library with “best tips towards affordable school ecology”; IO4: Smart app with 25 ecology related affordable best and good practices illustrated via range of attractive 3D animations/videos.
