Publishing House (PH) at the UF existed since 1991. Initially in PH operates only one editor. The first editions are tutorials for students from Higher Institute of Forestry and in small quantities. Then existing photo lab and copier-based Higher Institute of Forestry are included in the PH unit.

In 1992 is adopted Rules of Publishing House, which was updated in 2005 and 2016.

The main tasks of PH are to organize issuing printed materials that serve the educational, scientific, informational, administrative and business of Forestry. The object of publishing are: educational literature; internal regulations - rules and regulations, forms and templates, guides; scientific journals and conference proceedings of Forestry; other publications related to the activity of Forestry.

Printing of textbooks is planned annually per calendar year. The plan shall be based on proposals discussed by the Department advice that the authors, title and two reviewers future edition. Proposals from the Cathedral Council, together with manuscript paper and electronic media containing the proposed print textbook imported to the Dean of the respective faculty no later than October 15. Dean submit a proposal for a decision in FS. The faculty council confirms authors, titles of upcoming releases, approving reviewer’s deadline of submission of each manuscript and recommended deadline for issuance. Commission for issuance of educational literature, chaired by the Vice-Rector accreditation and members of the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Chief of Department for Academic Affairs and Dean of the Faculty, establish an annual thematic plan for the issue of academic literature and submit it for approval AU of Forestry. Endorsed by the AU annual thematic plan is presented in PH no later than 30 November of the previous calendar year.

In planning must meet the following requirements: a) The author is taught relevant discipline not less than two years. In Authors team condition applies to the lead author; b) The title of the publication to match the name of the respective discipline according to the curriculum and the content of the manuscript meets the study material according to curriculum; c) The volume of the manuscript meets of hours of the course and not more than: a) textbook - 24-27 copyright cars (one auto. car = 11 standard pages); b) guidelines for exercise, collections of tasks, dictionaries and more. - 10-15 copyright cars. The scope includes tables, pictures, graphs and other visual aids.

The planning copies of textbooks is determined based on the number of students regularly and part-time students who study course as well as expected demand from foreign customers, but not more than 300 pcs.

Currently working in PH editor, specialist prepress and computer operator.

Since the establishment of PH so far are processed and printed more than 100 publications.

Printed materials are sold in publishing house, thus the price of the publications is relatively low.

With overall activity PH supports the development of the educational process in the UF and contribute to its qualitative growth.
