The Future Needs People with a Purpose.

The Future Needs People with a Purpose.

In recent years, discussions about the impact of artificial intelligence on the labour market have become increasingly common. Much attention has been given to which professions may be transformed or even replaced by AI. While it is impossible to predict the future with certainty, one fact remains clear: society will always need professionals whose work is driven by purpose and contributes directly to sustainable development, environmental stewardship, and the well-being of future generations.

The world needs experts who can establish, manage, and conserve forests—one of our most valuable natural resources and a key ally in addressing global environmental challenges.

It needs professionals who design greener cities, parks, and public spaces, creating healthier, more resilient, and more liveable environments for communities.

It also relies on specialists who develop innovative, sustainable products from renewable natural resources, combining advanced technologies with responsible resource management.

These are the fields in which the University of Forestry prepares highly qualified professionals, equipping them with practical skills, scientific knowledge, and a strong sense of social responsibility.

Beginning with the 2026/2027 academic year, the programmes in Forestry, Landscape Architecture, and Wood Technology and Furniture Design are expected to become even more accessible to prospective students from Southeastern Bulgaria through the expansion of the University of Forestry’s educational presence in the city of Burgas.

Because the future does not belong to technology alone. It belongs to the people who use knowledge to create, design, and protect the world around us.

Create. Design. Make a Lasting Impact with the University of Forestry.
