The University of Forestry Hosts the Presentation of the European Campaign #PlantHealth4Life

On 4 June 2026, at 17:00, in Hall “Akademik Mako Dakov” at the University of Forestry, the European campaign #PlantHealth4Life will be presented. The initiative is organised by the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA), the European Commission, and their partners across the Member States of the European Union.

The campaign focuses on raising public awareness of the importance of plant health for quality of life, food security, biodiversity conservation, and sustainable development. In 2026, the initiative involves 27 EU Member States, highlighting its broad European scope and significance. It aims to encourage informed understanding, critical thinking, and active civic engagement on issues related to the protection of plant resources.

As the host of the event through its Faculty of Agronomy, the University of Forestry provides an environment in which scientific knowledge, education, and socially significant European initiatives naturally intersect and complement one another.

The presentation will be delivered by Rumyana Krasteva, Chief Expert at the Bulgarian Food Safety Agency (BFSA).

The event is open to all who are interested in the interconnection between plant health, the environment, the economy, and food safety.
