Zhivko Bonev Gochev – Professor, PhD
He completed his higher education in 1985 at the Higher Institute of Forestry and Wood Technology (VLTI), majoring in “Mechanical Wood Technology.” In 1996, he joined the University of Forestry (LTU) as a Chief Assistant Professor. He defended his dissertation on “Investigation of the Laser Cutting Process of Furniture Components from Particleboard” in 1996.
Professional Field: 6.5 Forestry.
Scientific Specialty: Technology, Mechanization, and Automation of the Woodworking and Furniture Industry.
Scientific Expertise: Author of over 150 scientific publications in international journals; Author of three educational materials, including a textbook, a monograph, and a laboratory manual; Member of the team for more than 25 scientific, applied science, and infrastructure projects; Member of the program committee for 6 international scientific conferences; Member of the editorial board of the scientific journal “Acta Facultatis Xylologiae,” Slovakia; Over 120 citations; Specialized in Sweden, Japan, and Slovakia; Member of TC52 at the Bulgarian Institute for Standardization (BIS);
Scientific supervisor of one successfully defended PhD student and over 50 Bachelor’s and Master’s graduates.
