The University of Forestry is the Lead Partner and Coordinator of the project “E-CarboN – European Clean Air Ruminant: Curriculum to Mitigate Carbon Emissions by Innovative Interventions for a Net-Zero Future”, Project number 2025-1-BG01-KA220-HED-000349535, financed by the European Commission under the Erasmus+ Programme, Key Action KA220-HED – Cooperation Partnerships in Higher Education.

The project is implemented by a consortium of partner organizations from Bulgaria, Türkiye, Poland, and Greece and aims to enhance knowledge and professional competences related to innovative carbon and nitrogen emission mitigating strategies in ruminant livestock systems. E-CarboN focuses on developing a modern higher education curriculum, interactive e-learning modules, a European Clean Air Ruminant Handbook, and practical Go-To-Guides that support sustainable livestock management and climate-smart agricultural practices.

Through educational materials, digital tools, and international collaboration, the project contributes to strengthening the link between science, higher education, and real-world environmental and agricultural challenges, supporting the transition toward a greener and more sustainable future.
